Last Update For Semester 1

The last segment on my recap of my first semester at D1 will be about what I call the “absolutely useless make my life miserable horribly boring classes.” I’m sure every school has these.
Even though I learned some interesting things, these classes were just bad, bothersome and boring.

These are the classes where interviewees come into Nagle and wonder if they are at NYU or Stony Brook…..

stay tuned

  1. hey there, when do you take the boards at nyu? after your 2nd year? how long do you get to study for it?

    • we take them at the end of our second year, i believe we get something in the neighborhood of ~3-4 weeks off, but don’t quote me on it. I will find out for sure and let you know. I do know that the school offers review sessions for subjects on the exam in the semester prior to the exam.

Also found out today that we actually get into clinic at the end of our second year in May, prior to taking the boards, so a little sooner than third year.

I will answer your other post shortly.

  2. Thanks, yeah part of me choosing NYU over Nova was that you take the boards later…but I dont know how I feel about starting clinic right before boards…if you can let me know that would be great..

also, is there a place you can workout?

    • i will find out monday for you.

as for working out, in the dental school itself, no. The dental school and med school are more uptown from the main campus. There is a free shuttle that runs a couple of times every hour to take you to the main NYU campus for free, so you can use all the facilities there. Also some of the building complexes you might choose to live in have gyms inside them and gyms in the area.

  3. This is random. Does NYU offer scholarship to students and also, could you tell me how much you pay for the rent?
